Preferentially select products using a single human-consumable grade meat as the main ingredient. The first item in the ingredient list should be the specific name of the meat. There should be no ambiguous descriptions such as "meat by-products" or "unknown meat powder". Regular brands must provide proof of raw material traceability, which is also a key point for compliance in foreign trade exports.
Freeze-drying process
Products using the low-temperature vacuum freeze-drying technology can retain nutrients to the greatest extent. They have a loose and porous texture, strong rehydration ability, and no obvious lumps. Avoid "pseudo-freeze-drying" which requires high-temperature drying, as it causes significant nutrient loss and makes the rehydrated product cloudy and having an unpleasant odor.
The high-quality freeze-dried product should be free of grains, preservatives, and artificial colorings and fragrances, reducing the risk of cat allergies and digestive discomfort. The product must meet overseas certification standards such as EU CE and US FDA, and the ingredient list must exclude ingredients like potassium sorbate and artificial attractants.
